DOOSAN Curator Workshop
Since its establishment in 2011, DOOSAN Curator Workshop (DCW) has provided ongoing support to young Korean curators, cementing itself in the process as one of the preeminent programs for curators. In the past 14 years, a total of 42 curators have taken part in the program, with 20 feature exhibitions staged by them in Seoul and New York. In 2025, DCW is encountering a new transformation as it focuses on the roles and potential of curators in a contemporary art environment that has been changing with the times.
The new DCW focuses on intensive dialogue and interactions among participants and the sharing and reproduction of the relationships, knowledge, and art formed in the process. To assist them in organizing themselves and exploring ways of reading, writing, asking questions, contemplating, and acting together, the workshop supports their development through flexible forms of seminars, workshops, mentoring, field trips to the Asia–Pacific region, co-curating public programs/projects, and more.
