DOOSAN International Residency

Since its opening, DOOSAN Art Center DOOSAN Gallery has been working consistently to provide creators with opportunities for overseas experiences and international networking, while operating programs designed to provide positive stimuli. Between 2009 and 2021, it ran DOOSAN Residency New York, which consisted of four studios in all and offered overseas residence and solo exhibition opportunities to 64 artists over the 12-year period. In 2022, it shifted to a new approach of selecting resident artists and curators through an open call format in partnership with an influential local institution. Through this change, it has been providing more effective exchange opportunities and richer experiences designed to sustain the creators’ bold experimentation and creative activities.
