Since opening in Seoul in 2007, DOOSAN Art Center DOOSAN Gallery has provided support for creators in the contemporary visual arts as they pursue creative and critical thinking and experimentation. Through its exhibitions and various Korean and overseas programs that include the DOOSAN Curator Workshop (DCW) and DOOSAN International Residency, it has assisted artists, curators, and researchers in developing and taking risks, while exploring ways for these experiments to expand beyond physical boundaries and connect with the greater community. DOOSAN’s aim is to serve as a platform for sharing Korean contemporary art and broadening its base through timely perspectives and flexible forms of practice.
